There have been outpourings of the Holy Spirit throughout history. In the Book of Acts the Spirit of God was poured out "and they began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2: 1-4) When God manifests His Presence on the earth exciting things happen!! Here is a sample of some of the revivals that have taken place but there were many more in the USA, and countries all over the world!
One hundred years ago a movement like none other since shook the very foundations of the American church. People reported speaking in tongues, new denominations were formed, and the Charismatic Movement was born. The Azusa Street Revival shook the foundations of the church, spawned numerous denominations and changed the lives of six million people forever.
The revival began on April 9, 1906, and continued until 1915.
A small group of believers earnestly prayed for Revival in England at the beginning of the twentieth century. Little did they know how God would answer that prayer - an answer that would impact the church worldwide. This revival would lead to the birth of Pentecostalism in
Britain and awaken people to a new relationship with God. Sunderland 1907 -This documentary looks at the British Pentecostal Movement and its origins in the twentieth century. In a series of meetings in Sunderland 1907 held by Alexander Boddy, an Angelican Vicar, and Thomas Barratt, a minister from Norway there was an ""Outpouring of the Holy Spirit."" God moved through this revival leading to ongoing meetings and conventions for several years.
The greatest outpouring of Charles Finney’s life came here to Rochester, New York, in September 1830. In just six short months, this city would be completely transformed. It was a revival so significant it was called “the greatest work of God, and the greatest revival of religion that the world has ever seen, in so short a time.” One hundred thousand salvations were recorded during the revival.

Ms. Kuhlman traveled extensively around the United States and abroad holding healing meetings between the 1940s and 1970s. She was one of the most well-known healing ministers during that time and had a relationship with the Holy Spirit that drew people from all over the world.
In 1913 Aimee Semple McPherson began evangelizing, holding tent revivals across the United States and miracles followed. Ms McPherson quickly amassed a large following, often having to relocate to larger buildings to accommodate growing crowds.
